Ukrainian developer Frogwares has announced that 2016 adventure Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter has come to the Nintendo Switch today.

This entry in the series puts you in the shoes of the famous detective in a supernatural adventure. “Something dark and sinister is gripping London that also has a very close connection to Sherlock’s own personal life. But is it just smoke and mirrors from cunning crooks or is something truly supernatural at play here?” asks the blurb.

You’ll be faced with a story that takes place across multiple cases, tasking you with balancing logic, your gut and superstition. Notably, the game lets you freely explore several London neighbours in a free-roaming fashion.  We reviewed the game back in 2016 on the original release, and gave it a solid 7 out of 10.

The studio’s CEO, Wael Amr, has also given a statement given that the studio is based in the currently war-torn Ukraine. “Words can’t really capture how proud and humbled I am by this team. To be able to launch any game is always an endeavor of some sort. To do so while a war rages in your country is almost unfathomable. But I guess that is that part of the Ukrainian spirit the world has seen so much of in these last few weeks. Stubborn, proud, and an unwillingness to look at the odds and giving up.”
