Ys Net has polished off a lovely pair of new Shenmue III screenshots for you to gawk at.
Okay, so it's only two images, but they look pretty nice and offer a glimpse at how the game's visuals are shaping up. Needless to say, it's come a long way from those early shots from E3 four years ago, and even manages to shake off those dodgy mannequin eyes to boot. Ryo still looks like he's not figured out how to smile yet though, a bit like Arnie in Terminator 2.
That's not all, though. Shenmue III will receive an 'extensive' trailer during MAGIC 2019 on March 9, which will also play host to a special presentation, according to organiser Cedric Biscay (via Gematsu).
Shenmue III is due for release on August 27 for PlayStation 4 and PC. The Yu Suzuki-directed opus finished its crowdfunding campaign late last year with seven million dollars raised.
Voice recording for the game's English dub is also progressing smoothly, which is good to know.
