Sega has released a new update for the PC version of Shenmue I & II, ironing out a load of bugs that have plagued the revenge-driven RPGs since launch.
Unfortunately, the planned release of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One editions of the patch have been delayed. Instead, it’ll now launch on the week of September 17.
Shenmue I & II’s latest update improves a bunch of graphical and audio problems, including issues with facial animations, character skinning, and textures, while crackling background music and effects have also been bumped off.
The update also includes a series of miscellaneous fixes, including general performance updates, stability improvements, and removing a soft-lock that occurs when having a go at the arcades past Ryo’s bed time. Staying up past bed time? What would Ine-san say?

Developer Ys Net recently confirmed that Shenmue III will launch on PlayStation 4 and PC in late August next year.
