FromSoftware has released a new Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice trailer for you to gawk at, and from the look of things the upcoming samurai slash-'em-up is definitely wearing its influences on its sleeves, channelling an unmistakable Onimusha vibe.
The trailer combines moody voice overs with a sprinkling of claret-spilling gameplay footage, as the game's Shinobi protagonist deftly dodges enemy attacks while hacking off limbs and delivering wince-worthy killing blows.
To be fair, FromSoftware has mentioned that Sekiro is more than just a Dark Souls game at its core, and we'd be hard pressed to argue with that after watching the trailer.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice will be hacking and slashing its way onto PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on March 22, 2019.
