SEGA has announced an exclusive partnership with International Sport Multimedia (ISM), the official licensee of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to develop Vancouver 2010 – the Official Video Game of the Olympic Winter Games.

The game is in development at Eurocom Entertainment Software for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3 and is described as an authentic simulation of the Olympic Winter Games.

“Vancouver 2010 will set a new standard for the Olympic-themed video games genre,” commented Hugh Binns, Director of Eurocom. “With the innovative first person mode to immerse players even more in the game, an all new challenge mode providing hours of entertainment and stunning high definition graphics, Vancouver 2010 will be a fantastic experience.”

Vancouver 2010 will offer a new challenge mode, plus revamped online gameplay and brand new control schemes said to be “new to an official video game of the Olympic Games”.

Vancouver 2010 is scheduled for release on PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 in the winter of 2010.
