SEGA has announced a renewed collaboration with High Voltage Software for Conduit 2, the sequel to last year’s ambitious Wii first-person shooter. The game is currently scheduled for release in the autumn.

Building upon the success of the original, Conduit 2 will take players to the far reaches of the world to stop an alien invasion which can be fought in single-player, online multi-player battles, and all-new off and online co-op modes.

Conduit 2 introduces Team Invasion Mode, the new co-op mode where players will be able to battle side-by-side in teams of four friends on the same screen. Additionally, Team Invasion Mode can be played online.

The game will also feature a new and what’s promised to be a more expansive 12-player online competitive multiplayer mode, with larger and more intricate indoor and outdoor battlefields.

“The support for the original has been amazing,” said Eric Nofsinger, Chief Creative Officer at High Voltage Software. “The fans have always been a major factor in our development process and their continued enthusiasm has helped make Conduit 2 even better.”

Conduit 2 is set to release this autumn only on Wii.
