SEGA caught in Charlotte’s Web

In the Charlotte’s Web video game players will take control of Wilbur the pig or Templeton the rat, and must explore the fantasy world helping out characters form the movie when you meet them. The game will feature many locations from the film including Zuckerman’s Barn, a Junkyard, the Countryside and the County Fair, each containing a number of levels to complete

This captivating game will give players of all ages the opportunity to explore the charming and familiar world of Charlotte’s Web like never before,” said Scott A. Steinberg, Vice President of Marketing, SEGA of America, Inc. “Players will find themselves immersed in an interactive environment where they’ll encounter a colourful cast of characters while they embark on a very special journey.

GBA and DS versions of the game will feature a number of mini-games, including Ring Toss and Bumper Cars. These games are hidden in the levels and have been designed to be easy to pick up and play. The DS version will also feature touch screen support and wireless support for up to four players. Also look out for an unlockable mini-game in which you play as Fern and must care for Wilbur.

Charlotte’s Web is in development at Backbone Entertainment, and is scheduled for released in the winter on GBA, DS and PC.
