SEGA has today announced that SEGA Bass Fishing is in development for the Wii with a release lined-up for early 2008.

An arcade and SEGA Dreamcast classic thanks to its unique fishing rod controller, the Wii edition will feature all new controls designed to take advantage of the Wii Remote and Nunchuck – motion controlled reeling included.

Game content will include over 20 types of lure which can be cast using the Wii Remote in an attempt to catch four different types of freshwater bass. Players will have the freedom to fish at a variety of different times, varying the activity, appetite and depth of the fish.

Although featuring a limited number of bass, players will have 15 lakes on which to fish and a host of game modes to choose from.

Look out for SEGA Bass Fishing early in 2008.
