Rare has launched a new update for swashbuckling Xbox One and PC adventure Sea of Thieves, allowing players to strap on an assortment of new pirate-themed clobber.

Players can now strike a pose in a bunch of new outfits spanning the Admiral, Bilge Rat, Sea Dog, and Sovereign lineups, including the Executive Admiral, Grand Admiral, Rotten Bilge Rat, Castaway Bilge Rat, Corsair Sea Dog, Ruffian Sea Dog and Imperial Sovereign costumes. In addition, Rare's also offering a special Eye of Reach weapon to mark the game's one-month anniversary; snap it up for just 1 Gold from the store for a limited time only.

There's also a bunch of new weapon variations for Grand Admiral, Castaway Bilge Rat, Ruffian Sea Dog and Imperial Sovereign available at the many outpost shops dotted throughout the game world, so have a gander at them if you're feeling bored with your current setup.

Other tweaks include putting the kibosh on player invulnerability during certain parts of the tutorial, while Skeleton accuracy has also been reduced when blasting cannons from islands over long distances.

Sea of Thieves was released on March 20 and Rare's promised a bunch of new content will be winging its way to players this month.
