A new gameplay trailer for Sea of Thieves‘ upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean crossover has been released, showcasing what budding pirates can expect in Sea of Thieves: A Pirate’s Life next week.
Shown off as part of the Xbox Games Showcase Extended broadcast last night, the expansion will feature five new Tall Tales and see pirates interact with characters like Davy Jones and Captain Jack Sparrow himself. New locations across, below and beyond the Sea of Thieves are also promised during the story-focused additions.
There’s a glimpse of the new enemies and challenges too, including what seems to be a look at the face of the game’s infamous Kraken for the first time. Sirens and Ocean Crawlers will also be making sure pirate life isn’t all plain sailing
Rare has also confirmed it’ll be holding a special broadcast this Sunday, June 20. We’re promised a look behind the scenes of the Rare and Disney collaboration as well as a peek at the first two Tall Tales in the story. The broadcast will take place at 7pm UK time on the Xbox Twitch channel.
Sea of Thieves: A Pirates Life was first announced during the Xbox Bethesda Showcase E3 event last Sunday. The free expansion arrives as part of Season Three in Sea of Thieves on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC on June 22.
