Rare has announced that the next major update for pirate adventure Sea of Thieves dubbed Season Four will drop next week.

While it’s keeping the full details close to its chest, it appears we’ll be heading under the waves for the next update. The game’s official Twitter account has been tweeting a series of clues and hints, along with screenshots of new underwater locations. There’s also a couple of hints in the new trailer showing off what we assume will be some of the new cosmetics. We also expect there’ll be an all new Plunder Pass too, with extra goodies to collect.

The game’s most recent Season arrived back in June. It came alongside a free Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean-themed expansion entitled A Pirate’s Life. Along with the characters from the movie, it also added a bunch of new enemies including phantoms, ocean crawlers and Sirens.

Presumably there’ll be a full reveal of Sea of Thieves Season Four in the run up to launch on September 23, so keep a lookout from the crows nest for that. Sea of Thieves is available now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. Check out the teaser trailer for yourself down below.
