The Wii U and Nintendo 3DS versions of Scribblenauts Unlimited will finally launch in the UK this December, Nintendo has announced – almost 12 months after the game’s previous delay.

Scribblenauts Unlimited had been due to launch in February, but saw a last-minute delay just three days before release.

At the time, Nintendo said that “some changes need to be implemented within the game before we launch them across Europe. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and we hope to make further announcements on the European launch of these games very soon.”

The game launched in North America alongside the Wii U in November 2012.

The December release date means that Unlimited won’t launch until after DC Comics follow-up Scribblenauts Unmasked releases in North America. Unmasked is expected to go on sale this autumn in the US on Wii U, 3DS and PC.
