Snow Board Kids had a bit of a cult following back on the Nintendo 64, and was helped out by a relatively low retail price for the time (£39.99 if I remember correctly). I actually bought the game primarily because it was some £20 cheaper than other N64 titles, and I was pleasantly surprised. SBK: Sow Board Kids follows on from the previous versions of the game, combining downhill snowboarding with the arcade action from the Mario Kart games, with an emphasis on fun.

The game features six playable characters and a number of slopes over which to race and perform tricks. Each player has a special move, which include fireballs and freeze attacks, and special tricks can be accessed by using the touch screen. These tricks can be used to deflect attacks from your opponents and also to help maintain speed throughout the race.

The in-game shop allows you to spend points earned from racing: New snowboards, special moves, courses, characters and game modes can all be obtained. The game also features wireless multiplayer to accompany the many single-player game modes. SBK: Snow Board Kids is scheduled for a European release in March 2006.
