Spider-Man and Evil Dead director Sam Raimi is no longer attached to direct Blizzard and Legendary Pictures’ World of Warcraft movie, reports Crave Online (via IGN).
Raimi was announced as the World of Warcraft director three years ago, stating he was “thrilled to work with such a dynamite production team to bring this project to the big screen”.
However, Raimi told Crave that his decision to take the Oz job forced the production team to find a new director for World of Warcraft.
“Actually, they don’t have me directing World of Warcraft anymore because when I took the Oz job, they had to move on to another director. … They had to start making it,” Raimi explained at Comic-Con last week.
Raimi’s comment suggests a new director has been found, but who is it?
