Speaking in THQ’s Q3 2010 earnings call, president and CEO Brian Farrell has revealed that we’ll be getting the next instalment in the Saints Row franchise in the publisher’s fiscal 2012. For gamers, that means it could arrive any time between April 1, 2011 and March 31 2012.
“Yes, it will be in fiscal ’12. Our hope is it will be on slightly under a three-year cycle,” stated Farrell. “As you know, those open-world games are the most complex games to build. The team at Volition has done a great job competing in that genre. As you know, we are the clear number two in that genre and hope to do even better with the next one.”
Our money is on an October 2011 release date, three years after the release of Saints Row 2.
