Nintendo's Eiji Aonuma has reportedly teased a Switch version of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.
Aonuma-san attended a Legend of Zelda: Concert 2018 performance in Japan over the weekend, with attendees later posting on social media that he brought up the prospect of the motion-sensing adventure game for Ninty's hybrid console.
'We know what you are thinking, Skyward Sword on Switch, right?' he was reported to have said, prompting a rapturous applause from the audience (via Resetera, citing several sources).
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword was released on the Wii back in 2011, and utilised 1:1 motion controls allowing Link to swing his weapon based on your exact movements. It was great…when it actually worked properly.
Nintendo has already spruced up The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for Wii U, so a high-definition version of Skyward Sword would make sense.
Still, nothing has been confirmed at this point, so don't read too much into this for the time being.
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
