Remastered retro platform collection Spyro Reignited Trilogy is most likely getting Switch release, if a listing that briefly appeared on Nintendo UK’s official website is anything to go by.

The Big N’s store had the game listed down as Spyro the Dragon Remastered and had a pre-order up for the compilation, along with a price tag of 40 quid. However, it was swiftly taken down and has yet to reappear, though it’s probably safe to assume it’s happening.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy was announced yesterday by publisher Activision, and is officially slated to appear on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 21. However, a Switch version shouldn’t be all that surprising; the publishing giant is bringing Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy to the hybrid platform, which was previously only available on PS4.

The purple fire-breathing fella was a pretty big deal back in his heyday in the late 90s, competing with Sony’s marsupial mascot for platforming supremacy on the original PlayStation. The Reignited Trilogy polishes up the first three games in the franchise, which are arguably some of the finest games in the series. In other words, it’s probably going to be pretty decent, and developer Toys for Bob certainly has the chops to pull it off.

We’ll be sure to keep you posted on the status of a Switch release.
