Activision has announced that Spyro Ignited Trilogy is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this Fall, confirming earlier leaks from Amazon Mexico and Kotaku.

As expected, the trilogy will spruce up the first three instalments in the much-loved platforming franchise, namely 1998’s Spyro the Dragon, 1999’s Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage, and 2000’s Spyro: Year of the Dragon. The former PlayStation-exclusive titles have been fully revamped for modern consoles, featuring vibrant high-definition visuals and a re-imagined score based on Stewart Copeland’s original work.

Essentially this means you get over 100 levels with the Ignited Trilogy, alongside revamped reward sequences, enhanced environments, new controls, and all-new snazzy lighting effects.

In a bizarre move, Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy owners can watch a trailer for the game via Crash Bandicoot: Warped by entering up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, and Square on the title screen from April 9.

‘We’re deeply passionate about staying true to the legacy of the original three Spyro games with the Spyro Reignited Trilogy,’ said Toys for Bob’s Chief Creative Officer, Paul Yan. ‘We’ve poured a lot of love into making the personalities and worlds feel just like fans remember them, while also keeping the game collection surprisingly fresh with lush, high definition detail. We’re bringing back the Spyro we all fell in love with 20 years ago.’

Spyro Ignited Trilogy will be released on September 21.Â
