Update 2: Rockstar is working around the clock to resolve the GTA Online issues.

Update: Rockstar support has now listed a number of user reported problems with GTA Online.

  • Occasional “Rockstar Cloud Servers Unavailable” error message
  • Freezing sometimes while loading into first race in GTAO with “waiting for other players” on the screen
  • Intermittent “Failed to Host a GTA Online Session” error messages
  • Race Corona (start area, marker) occasionally not showing up for first race

Rockstar is investigating all the issues.

Original report: Rockstar’s support page has confirmed that the developer has received “some reports about getting stuck when trying to enter the first race” in GTA Online.

When attempting to enter into the first race in GTA Online, the game sits there stating “waiting for other players” and doesn’t progress.

Rockstar’s support page adds that the team is “looking into this now”.

GTA Online launched earlier today for Xbox 360 and PS3, but has thus far suffered from server load problems.
