Rockstar has announced the launch of GTA+, a premium subscription scheme for current-gen versions of Grand Theft Auto Online.

As per the Rockstar Newswire, members of the GTA+ program will get exclusive benefits for a monthly fee. It sounds as though the rewards may vary from month to month, but will have a number of regularly occurring perks for players’ $5.99 a month. This includes a regular monthly payment of $500,000 of GTA dollars direct into your in-game account.

For the first month, which runs between March 29 and April 27, players will get the following additional benefits. First off, a Principe Deveste Eight with complimentary Hao’s Special Works upgrade. It’ll also include a HSW Orange Trip and HSW CMYK Glitch liveries. They’ll also get waived LS Car Meet Membership fees too. They’ll also get a business in the form of the Auto Shop in La Mesa, which includes “an assortment of gameplay updates.”

Yacht owners will be able to also claim a free upgrade to the Aquarious Super Yacht too. Plus a Gusset Frog Tee and Broker Prolaps Basketball Top and Shorts. Then there’s a Conveyor Livery and a selection of free paints and emblems. You can check out the full list of perks over here.

It’s no secret that Grand Theft Auto Online has made a lot of money for Rockstar and publisher Take Two. It certainly seems like this will be a new way for them to continue in that trend, at least until Grand Theft Auto 6 sees the light of day. Whether the GTA+ scheme will be welcomed by players is another thing entirely.

Josh recently returned to Grand Theft Auto V with the recent PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series launch. GTA+ launches for Grand Theft Auto Online on those consoles on March 29.
