Rocket League has reached 40 million players across the world, as was announced on the game’s official Twitter account.
Around the midpoint of last year the game had passed the 34 million mark, so that’s some decent growth in a short space of time. It was a big year for developer Psyonix as Warner Bros. jumped on board to publish the retail edition of the car sports phenomenon, and a Nintendo Switch version launched in November.
Not bad for a game that came out in July 2015 to very little fanfare.
