Following concerns expressed by Charles Haun, the man behind Activision’s Guitar Hero, that peripheral manufacturing will lead to a delayed release of Rock Band, a UK EA representative has confirmed that the game is not likely to make a Q4 release.
When contacted by GameSpot UK, an EA representative said, “We don’t think [Rock Band] will be released in Q4.“
EA hasn’t offered a reason for the delay, but Haun believes peripheral production is to blame.
“We’ve had many, many years of working with peripherals and we know how difficult it is to produce sufficient quantities for a worldwide launch,” said Haun.
Rock Band is currently still expected to launch this year in the US.
