Batman’s faithful sidekick, Robin, has been confirmed as a playable character for Arkham City, specifically for the game’s Challenge Maps.
Confirming last week’s rumours, the Boy Wonder is being offered as a reward for those who pre-order the game at Best Buy. This incentive is currently only on offer in North America, but it would be strange if the UK didn’t get a similar deal.
Robin will come with his own unique moves and gadgets, as well as an alternate Red Robin skin. The pack will also include the Black Mask Hideout and Freight Train Escape Challenge maps.
Tim Drake will be stepping into Robin’s shoes for Arkham City, as opposed to Dick Grayson – who, presumably, will have already gone off to become Nightwing in Rocksteady’s Batman timeline. This is another character fans will be keen to see from Rocksteady in the future.
While Robin lacks the machismo of the Dark Knight, he’s looking pretty badass in this image released by Rocksteady.
Batman Arkham City is due for release on October 28, for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.

What say you, Batman fans? I think he looks pretty gosh darn cool, but Martin (probably the biggest Batman fan in the office) says they’ve tried to make him look ‘too hard’. “Where’s his hair gone!?” he’s been moaning.
