The PC version of Risen 3: Titan Lords is to be updated with improved graphics designed to take advantage of 64-bit operating systems, Deep Silver has announced.

The announcement coincides with today’s release of the PS4 Enhanced Edition, which features improved visual effects, texture resolutions and reduced loading times over last year’s PS3 release.

The 64-bit update for PC, meanwhile, also introduces improved texture resolution for “items, objects, foliage, terrain, particle effects, characters, monsters and other in-game models”, improved draw distance, frame rate optimisation and reduced LOD streaming, along with new bokeh depth of field, HDR bloom and a physically-based cloud rendering system.

The update will be available for free to anybody who has purchased Risen 3: Titan Lords, although it isn’t yet clear when it’s due to launch.
