League of Legends Season 3 will introduce new tiered competition play, Riot Games has announced.
Season 3 will feature six different tiers/levels of competition with several leagues in each tier. Players will progress through five divisions within each tier until they qualify for higher tier play.
Tiers available will be Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Challenger. The best 5v5 ranked teams from the Challenger tier will have the opportunity to go pro as is explained in the infographic below.
