Rime, the game from Deadlight developer Tequila Works, is scheduled to launch on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, on May 26, and will cost £29.99/€34.99/$29.99. The game will be released on Nintendo Switch after that date and will be a tenner more in all territories.

Rime has definitely piqued the interest of many for its seemingly intriguing puzzles, and striking art style, but this price hike on Nintendo’s new console will definitely upset a few early adopters of the system that are looking for new software.

The reason for the later release date and increase in cost isn’t yet known, and the lack of a concrete date for Switch owners is disappointing. It’ll be interesting to see whether the higher price point on the Switch will become the norm with multi-platform titles going forward, though. Time will tell.
