Well known for his roles in Team Fortress 2, Star Fox 64, and Age of Empires II, actor, director, and teacher Rick May sadly passed away on April 13.

Before he began voice acting in video games, May was a prolific and successful theatrical actor and director. He had appeared in more than 300 shows, including A Funny Thing Happened On the Way To the Forum, Cotton Patch Gospel, Death of a Salesman, and Fiddler on the Roof. Described as a “stage chameleon,” May also appeared in George Lucas’ American Graffiti, voiced iconic video game characters, and taught his craft at the Rekindle School in Seattle, Washington.

In February, he suffered a stroke, and he was moved into a nursing home in order to rehabilitate and receive treatment. During this time, he contracted the coronavirus, and unfortunately, May died on April 13 at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and students.
