As part of a 2006 preview posted on the Nintendo-Europe website Nintendo has stated that its next home console, code-named ‘Revolution’ is to be released in 2006
“On an as-yet-unannounced date in 2006 Nintendo will launch its next home console, code-named ‘Revolution’ – which will truly spark a revolution in gaming.“
There is no specific mention where the console is to be released in 2006, but given that the news has only been posted on the Nintendo-Europe site we hope Nintendo is referring to Europe. The news also goes on to add that there is much more to the Revolution than we know.
“But if you think that’s all there is to know about Revolution, think again… 2006 is going to be very interesting indeed.“
I think we should wait until the words “Revolution” and “European release 2006” are used in the same sentence in an official statement by an Nintendo rep before we assume the Revolution will be coming to Europe in 2006, but we’re hopeful.
