Retro-themed action game Retro City Rampage has been updated to offer better visuals.
The 1.11 update introduces new Retro+ visuals, which “boasts realtime soft shadows and doubles the colours on screen”. Those unhappy about the jazzed up visuals can opt to maintain the original 8-Bit mode.
The update also brings mod support, allowing players to create new vehicles, characters, fonts and colour palettes.
Furthermore, Steam is offering the game for the cut down price of only £2.99 for a very limited time.
I don’t remember NES games featuring realtime soft shadows.
