Online retailer ShopTo has pinned a £279.99 recommended retail price on Wii U.
The retailer listed the system for pre-order last night, placing a ‘TBC’ release date on its product page.
Both black and white versions of the Wii U are available to pre-order, each costing £279.99.
Games are also available to pre-order. According to the retailer, they’ll carry an RRP of £39.99.
A price and release date for the Wii U has yet to be confirmed by Nintendo.
Nintendo doesn’t typically set retail prices for its hardware, instead letting retailers set their own price.
The tactic led to a price war on the Nintendo 3DS during the run-up to launch last March.
Wii U is due to release globally this ‘holiday’.
