Understandably, there's a lot of excitement around Apex Legends and with the immenent release of the Battle Pass soon players are hungry for information on new content. But Respawn has quelled some expectations on information leaked from recent datamining expeditions.

Posting on the game's official Reddit, community manager Jay Frechette addressed several posts that popped up over the last few days that seemed to reveal several new characters in addition to the two character leaks from a few weeks ago. 'There’s lots of stuff that has been datamined from Apex since launch and is swirling around the Internet. We know this stuff is fun to dig up and speculate about, but you should not treat any of that info as a source of truth.'

'There’s stuff in there that is very old, or things we’ve tried in the past and cut–remember our design process is to prototype and play lots of ideas–and some of it may be things we’re still building for Apex Legends. Finding this stuff by no means confirms that it’ll ever come out. At best you should treat any posts about this as a rumor and the real info will come from us when we’re ready to show off what’s coming next.'

Frechette also addressed some screens that popped up on some people's EA Origin clients that revealed the price of the upcoming Season 1 Battle Pass, causing many to believe it would be released within the next day or so. He said 'We’ll be providing details on Season 1, Battle Pass, and the next Legend very soon. It’s not coming out today.'

So it looks like for now we'll have to wait a little bit longer for new content. Apex Legends is available on Xbox One, PC and PS4 and recently hit the very impressive milestone of 50 million players.
