October PlayStation Plus for Europe has been announced, and it’s a pretty good month for PS4 gamers.

Headlining the new free games list are Capcom’s Resident Evil HD Remaster and Activision’s Transformers: Devastation, each well worth the your time.

On Resident Evil we said: “There will be players that despise Resident Evil, of course, decrying its controls and save states. Granted, some of its puzzles can be more than a little obtuse. And its aforementioned graphical issues grate, if only in parts. For me, however, Resident Evil remains a game as odd, unsettling, and unforgettable as its setting. The HD remaster only emphasises this.”

As for Transformers, Tom was quite a fan, only really let down by its short running time, something which isn’t so much of a problem when it’s free on PS Plus: “So, I’m happy Transformers Devastation exists and thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent with it, but it’s not quite the game I imagined as an idealistic child. For one, it’s not based on the original animated movie complete with soundtrack. And secondly, it’s four hours long. No matter how you spin it, with options Challenge Mode content and numerous playable characters, for £40 I expect more (than meets the eye).”
