Resident Evil and Resident Evil 2's soundtrack will be released on vinyl this spring, thanks to Capcom buddying up with Laced Records.
Both scores have been completely remastered for their vinyl release, and have been squeezed onto 'audiophile heavyweight deluxe double-vinyl 180g LPs.' The soundtracks were composed by Capcom's sound team, featuring Masami Ueda, Makoto Tomozawa, and Akira Kaida.
It's worth noting that the score for Resident Evil is based on the 2002 GameCube remake, as opposed to the original 1996 version. Meanwhile, Resi 2's score is taken from the 1998 edition of the seminal survival horror title, not this year's remake.
Resident Evil features 44 tracks while Resi 2 is comprised of 31 tracks. To be fair, both games have a cracking score; Capcom even included the '98 soundtrack for the Resi 2 remake as an extra, as it's just that damn good.
Both soundtracks will be released in the US and Europe and will retail for $34.99 each.
