Capcom has announced that its Resident Evil 2 remake has shipped four million copies worldwide across PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One.
The survival horror revamp launched on January 25, and shipped three million units in just one week, so it's fair to say it's doing pretty well. The news comes in light of Capcom's announcement that the franchise has sold over 90 million copies worldwide, making it the publisher's best-selling IP to date.
Resident Evil 2 was originally released on the PlayStation back in 1998, and was later ported to PC, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, and GameCube. The PSOne version has sold almost five million copies alone, so it'll be interesting to see if the remake can match that figure.
Capcom has supported the Resi 2 remake with a bunch of post-launch content, including the free Ghost Survivors update.
