Capcom has updated its list of million seller titles (as of March 31, 2009), with recent releases Resident Evil 5 and Street Fighter IV both making the Top 10.

Resident Evil 5 is new at No.3 with sales of 4.4 million units, and is only beaten by Resident Evil 2 (4.96 million units) and Street Fighter II (6.3 million units). Given the game is likely to continue selling, albeit at a slower pace, the fifth entry in the series could well end up overtaking Resi 2.

Street Fighter IV is new at No.8 with sales of 2.5 million units. While some way short of Street Fighter II (6.3 million units) and Street Fighter II Turbo (4.1 million units), eighth place on Capcom’s all-time best-seller list is a considerable achievement.

1. Street Fighter II – 6.3 million units

2. Resident Evil 2 – 4.96 million units

3. Resident Evil 5 – 4.4 million units

4. Street Fighter II Turbo – 4.1 million units

5. Resident Evil 3 Nemesis – 3.5 million units

6. Resident Evil – 2.75 million units

7. Monster Hunter Freedom 2 G – 2.55 million units

8. Street Fighter IV – 2.5 million units
