Capcom has announced the release of Resident Evil 4 Mobile Edition for iPhone and iPod touch. The game allows players to experience “the most thrilling chapters” of the Resident Evil saga in an all-new way.
It has been six years since the destruction of Raccoon City. Leon S. Kennedy, is now a U.S. agent with a top-secret mission to rescue Ashley Graham, the President’s daughter. He begins his investigation in an undisclosed Spanish-speaking village in Europe, where he encounters a horde of monstrous villagers who pledge their lives to Los Illuminados.
The classic Resident Evil 4 experience has been ported pretty impressively to Apple’s handheld devices, with the action playing out in true 3D in a third-person perspective. There’s even a Mercenary Mode to unlock upon completion of the main game.
All this does come at a cost though, with the game carrying a £4.99 price tag.
