According to a report released by Nielsen, you’re most likely to find a Wii plugged into the TV in the lounge, whilst move to the bedroom and you’re more likely to see an Xbox 360 than any other console.

The survey says the Wii can be found in 59 per cent of all US living rooms that have consoles, whereas the PS3 accounts for 45 per cent and the Xbox 360 42 per cent.

Move into the bedroom – specifically that of a kid – and the Xbox 360 becomes top dog, found in 28 per cent of homes. Then comes the PS3 with 16 per cent and the Wii with only 14 per cent.

As expected, the living room is the most popular place to keep a console, accounting for 50 per cent of the vote, then came the child’s bedroom at 19 per cent and the master bedroom at 10 per cent. One per cent of those who took part in the survey said they keep their console in the kitchen, while another one per cent said they gamed on the patio.
