The Walking Dead developer Telltale Games has reportedly laid off more of its staff, following news that the studio had initiated a 'majority studio closure' at the end of September.
News comes from former employee Rachel Noel, who confirmed on Twitter that she did not receive any severance and was part of the remaining skeleton crew at Telltale. However, she was not a member of the same team working on The Walking Dead: The Final Season.
While initially it was believed all of the remaining 25 skeleton crew had lost their jobs, Noel later clarified that there are still a number of staff members working at Telltale, though her team has been let go.
In related news, The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman revealed at the New York Comic-Con that fans should 'stay tuned' for more news regarding The Final Season.
'Everyone involved is trying to make sure Clementine’s story is told,' he said. 'I’m not concerned at the moment with telling that story in the comics.'
Earlier this week it was reported that Telltale was looking at getting another studio to hire its old staff to complete the zombie drama.
Heeeeyyyy remember how there was going to be a skeleton crew staying on for a while and I was part of it? Nah, jk, we all just got laid off, too.
