Konami has announced that the three Silent Hill games due for this month will be released slightly later than planned.

Silent Hill: Downpour, the water-themed game for PS3 and Xbox 360, will be released on March 13. The Silent Hill HD Collection, which gathers the second and third games in the series, will be out on the March 20.

Finally, Silent Hill: Book of Memories will be out on Vita on March 27.

Downpour looks like Silent Hill-by-numbers. Despite the fact that it’s been shown several times over the last year, we’ve still not seen that much of it – so the jury’s still out.

The HD Collection will be the release that most excites fans. Silent Hill 2 is not only widely regarded as the best in the series, but also as one of the scariest survival horror games ever made.

We’ve yet to see Book of Memories for ourselves, but it’s a co-op, top-down shooter. Check out the comments on this YouTube video to see what the fans think to that:

My favourite reaction? ” NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO¬OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO¬OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO¬OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LA RE MIL PUTA QUE LOS RE MIL PARIOOOOO! MIS OJOS SAGRAN!!!!! CANCELEN ESTA WEAAAAA”

Don’t know what that means, but it sounds about right.
