While it’s unlikely we’re going to see a new Red Faction game anytime soon, various European arms of retail giant GameStop have posted a listing for Red Faction: Guerrilla Remastered, suggesting the 2009 outing is getting a modern overhaul on PS4 and Xbox One.

As spotted by PST, the listings cropped up on the Danish, Finnish, Swedish, and Norwegian GameStop websites, with all four carrying pre-order options for the as-yet unannounced project. Obviously, this doesn’t mean a revamp of Guerrilla is set in stone, so take it with a pinch of salt for now.

Developed by Volition, Red Faction Guerrilla switched up the series by introducing a third-person viewpoint, allowing you to get a better view of your terrain-destroying exploits. While its story was a bit of a damp squib, Guerrilla is still considered one of the better outings in the franchise overall.

Red Faction has been on hiatus since 2011’s Red Faction: Armageddon and the subsequent closure of publisher THQ. The original game was one of the early highlights on the PS2, with the ability to blow the s**t out of your environments being a new and exciting thing back in the early 2000s.
