THQ’s Red Faction: Armageddon will be released in the UK on June 3, developer Volition has announced.
In Red Faction: Armageddon the action moves beneath the surface of Mars. As Darius Mason, players fight to save humanity from a great evil that threatens to extinguish all life on the planet.
Much like the previous game, Mason will be able to blow lots of stuff up, only now he’ll be doing so in a more linear fashion underground.
The game will be released for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
A June 3 release puts THQ’s action sequel up against Bethesda’s Hunted: The Demon’s Forge, which could now find itself in a tough spot. Bethesda has proved it can release hits, but launching a new IP alongside an established franchise won’t be easy.
