Rockstar Games has added Halloween masks to Red Dead Online to celebrate the spooky season, with exclusive looks for each Specialist Role and for Outlaw Pass holders (via Game Rant).
In September, Red Dead Online players were finding what looked like zombie NPCs in the game, with discoloured skin, glowing eyes, and bedraggled garb. This was theorised to be Rockstar Games hinting at an Undead Nightmare event for the massively multiplayer Wild West sim, but that turned out not to be the case. To commemorate All Hallows' Eve, Madam Nazar has stocked up on spooky masks for players to wear as they travel the badlands. These are limited-time items, and there’s a veritable collection to acquire.
To get players started, each of the Specialist Role classes will receive a free, exclusive variation of one of the masks on offer. Bounty Hunters will have an exclusive Creature Mask, Traders will get an exclusive Swine Mask, and Collectors will score an exclusive Masquerade Mask. That’s not all, though. Red Dead Online players who hop into GTA Online before December 12 will be gifted an exclusive Slaughter Mask. Outlaw Pass holders who have achieved Club Rank 10 and Club Rank 20 will cop an exclusive Freak Mask and an exclusive Horror Mask, respectively.

A new Legendary Bounty hunt has begun, too. Philip Carlier, formerly of the Lemoyne Trading Company, is wanted for embezzlement and murder of a fellow employee two years ago. Hiding in the Lagras bayou, Carlier is alone and addicted to narcotics, slowly losing his grip on reality. By picking up Carlier's wanted poster at any sheriff's office, the hunt will begin but be warned, he is preternaturally dangerous.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is available now on PS4 and Xbox One. The game will be released for PC on November 5 through the Rockstar Games Launcher, and it will be coming to Stadia too.
