Microsoft has announced plans to release a new title update for ReCore later this week that aims to improve the game’s lengthy load times.
In a post on the game’s website, Microsoft Studios community manager Pamela Wang explained that the team had been “listening closely” to player feedback, and heard calls for loading times to be improved.
“We heard you, we appreciate your patience, and we have good news!” she said. “An update will be released this week for Xbox One and Xbox One S that will improve load times on those platforms. Keep in mind, some areas may continue to take more time than expected to load because they are larger zones, but we hope this update improves your overall experience traveling through Far Eden.”
ReCore has been criticised by some for its lengthy load times, which can leave players waiting upwards of 30 seconds each time they die or enter a new area. Other bugs let the game down, too – a shame considering the overall package doesn’t seem half bad.
Microsoft has yet to say whether any other issues will be addressed in this week’s patch.
