Rayman Legends will be released on Friday for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U and PC, but not on PS Vita, Ubisoft has confirmed to Digital Spy.

The PS Vita version will now arrive on September 13.

“The release of Rayman Legends on PS Vita has been delayed in the UK to September 13 in order to apply the final level of polish gamers expect from a Rayman game,” a Ubisoft spokesperson explained.

The PS Vita version of Rayman Legends boasts five extra levels which see players using the system’s rear touch pad to control Murphy, the green bottle fly accompanying Rayman on his journey. You also get two additional costumes: a Prince of Persia outfit for Rayman and a Splinter Cell outfit for Globox.

Rayman Legends on Vita will also include a multiplayer co-op mode, allowing players from the same country to play together online or via a local network.
