The next time you see new material from Xbox One exclusive Quantum Break won’t be until this August’s Gamescom, Remedy CCO Sam Lake has confirmed, with the game set to skip next week’s E3.

It’s the second year running that Quantum Break has been absent from E3, having also missed out on last year’s show. Reasons for its absence haven’t been made clear.

The game is currently scheduled for release in spring 2016, having previously been due later this year.

Quantum Break was certainly one of the most anticipated games for Microsoft’s E3 conference, so it will be interesting to see what else it has lined-up to fill the gap. Halo 5 and Forza 6 are certainties, but beyond that it’s all guess work.
