The mobile version of chicken dinner-giving shooter PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has been patched with a bunch of new features this week, developer PUBG Corp. has confirmed.

There's now a first-person mode for the battle royale title, which was previously available on other versions of the game.

PUBG Mobile update 0.6.0 also includes a new Mini-Zone Arcade Mode, which mixes things up by plonking gamers into a smaller circle featuring three times the number of weapons. Needless to say, this should result in faster, more intense matches.

Royale Pass is now a thing, offering PUBG Mobile players a new avenue for unlocking cosmetic items. It's similar to the Event Pass for the PC version of the game, and sees you completing daily and weekly challenges to level up the Royale Pass and rake in the rewards.

However, while the Event Pass will largely cough up cosmetic items, the Royale Pass offers rewards in the form of crates and a new weapon.

PUBG Mobile's Royale Pass features a free incarnation for all players, but you can also upgrade to an Elite version for 600 UC (about $10). This edition includes 70 different levels and rewards to hoover up, and there's also an option to snap up a pass that includes the first 20 levels unlocked for 1,800 UC.

It was confirmed yesterday that PUBG has sold over 50 million copies worldwide and has over 400 million registered players.
