PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is quite the phenomenon, and as its popularity grows the negative elements threaten to creep in. Following on from the news that the game recently surpassed 2 million concurrent players, it’s been revealed that there are around 13,000 players being banned each day.

The anti-cheat software firm BattlEye has said that it’s currently banning players ‘at a rate of 6K-13K’ each day, and that it’d also banned nearly 20,000 within 24 hours on October 13. That’s quite a few getting the old ‘Bye Felicia’.

BattlEye also singled out China as the nation with the highest proportion of banned players, which is kind of understandable when you take into account that China is currently accountable for more than 40% of the game’s total player base. So far over 322,000 cheaters have been banned, and this has more than doubled the amount that was confirmed by Brendan ‘PlayerUnknown’ Greene only a month ago.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is due for a full release on PC in late 2017, followed by a ‘console launch exclusive’ release on Xbox One. There’s no word on a PS4 release at this moment in time.
