Sony has only just released firmware version 3.00, the one with PS3 and PSone updates, and now they’ve gone and released an updated version.
It appears that version 3.00 has some security issues that enabled users to do all manner of stuff Sony doesn’t want you doing. To combat this, Sony has released an updated version of the firmware called 3.01.
Other than some security fixes, there’s nothing new to tell you about, but you can read about the new additions in version 3.00 here.
