Marvel Rivals Season 2 has kicked off with an iconic Hellfire Gala theme. Players can dive into exciting new content and explore the vibrant map of Krakoa, all while encountering the powerful mutant Emma Frost.
Apart from the usual new content, NetEase has brought a new limited-time Giant-Size Brain Blast event, which launched on April 25, 2025, and will continue until April 28, with a follow-up round scheduled from May 2 to May 5. This wild “big head” mode, featuring heroes with hilariously oversized heads, adds a comedic spin to the traditional Conquest mode.
Players will be treated to more accessible headshots, amusing honking sound effects, and a competitive leaderboard to showcase their skills. Complete 10 matches and you’ll unlock a free Brain Blast emote, adding a hilariously oversized head to your chosen hero for that perfect meme-worthy touch. Elite players climbing the ranks of the top 10, 100, and 500 leaderboards will earn exclusive titles such as “Planet-Sized Brain” or “Giant-Sized Brain,” enhancing their profiles with a touch of prestige.
However, NetEase Games has revealed that players will be able to snag more Brain Blast emotes following the opportunity to snag their free emote. Here’s how you can get it.
Marvel Rivals players can get more Brain Blast emotes after free emote claim
According to popular leaker Miller Ross, the new Brain Blast emote in Marvel Rivals will be available for purchase for 400 units per character. Ross clarified that after redeeming the free emote for a certain hero, players can purchase more emotes for other characters, allowing them to equip several heroes with the head-inflating action.
The emote, which reflects the mode’s bobblehead design, adds a whimsical touch to matches, although some X fans noticed it only activates when standing still, prompting amusing requests for a permanent bobblehead option.
One such player wrote, “I’ll definitely utilize the free one, I don’t think I’m interested in buying more for the other heroes. I’m actually glad they allow you to purchase it for others, though.” Another questioned, “Do you know if the big head Invisible Woman emote works with the Malice skin?”, to which Miller replied, “Sure does.”
As of yet, there are 37 characters in the active Marvel Rivals roster, and players can unlock the free emote for only one of them. However, emotes for the other 36 characters will release for 400 Units each, which means you’ll need 14,400 Units to get the emote for all characters, which is an absurd number.
