UPDATE: According to Sony’s support site, update 1.74 is releasing today.
ORIGINAL REPORT: The next system update for PlayStation 4 is “coming soon”, Sony has confirmed.
Update 1.74 appears to be another minor update for the console, merely improving “stability of some software”.
The announcement follows a tease on PlayStation Blog yesterday that information on the next update would arrive shortly.
However, the fact that 1.74 doesn’t appear to include any significant new functionality has upset some fans who have criticised Sony for the slow roll-out of new updates.
“Oh @SonyElectronics get you’re [sic] sh*t together or your whole company will go under,” tweeted one fan. “Listen to the community. We know what we want.”
